Tactics

Sun Tzu’s tactics, from

The Art of War, emphasize deception, preparation, speed, and striking weak points to win with minimal fighting, focusing on intelligence, knowing when to fight (and not), appearing unpredictable (weak when strong, strong when weak), and exploiting enemy fatigue or lack of readiness

MMA tactics blend striking (jabs, kicks, elbows and knees), wrestling takedowns, Greco and Judo throws , sprawls and scrambles, and grappling submissions, and position to control your opponent. Exploit weaknesses, and finish fights, focusing on strategy, timing, and adapting to the opponent’s style, like using low kicks to slow a striker or sprawls to stop a wrestler. Key tactics include distance management, cage control, feints, combinations, and mastery of fundamental techniques in the Combat-Do system.
